Why Rycon General Contracting Donates
I grew up in a small town, Oak Grove Mo. a proud (Panther)! I have since adventured around the metro from Raytown to Lee’s Summit and now North Kansas City. I met my lovely wife in 2011, we married in 2014 and built our first dream home. My wife and I have two beautiful children Conner and Rylee. When thinking of my company name it only made sense to put together the two people that shaped me into who I am today, a father. Rycon was born!
I had so many jobs in my short time on earth but found a love in communication and connecting with people. I am a proud homeowner and when I got a taste of helping people in hard situations and their homes were affected, I felt a sense of pride assisting them through a tough process financially and emotionally. The reason I started my own business is because I can donate and truly make an impact to the people I help.
In 2018, my daughter was born and around this same time a close friend of ours was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. The night my daughter was born she laid in my arms as I helped raise a little over $5,000 from so many wonderful people through GO-Fund-Me. I wanted to make an impact and help, but also as my daughter laid in my arms, I thought this could happen to her. I had an experience firsthand that I have never had in my life. I was thanked for the efforts of helping someone I truly care about, and I wanted to keep helping. For over a year I was thinking how I can help other families feel a little relief from their current situation with some funding.
Every project Rycon General Contracting completes, funds are given to donations for this cause that has impacted our family along with so many others. (Breast Cancer)
How It Works, Rycon will partner with April Shea to help nominate a person with Breast Cancer every quarter. A Check will be written out and we will have a gathering of friends and family to help celebrate each individual every quarter.
